Cubic Technology 3D Printer Warranty Terms
Cubic Technology provides warranty coverage for its range of 3D printers to ensure customers enjoy a smooth and reliable printing experience. This warranty outlines what is covered, what isn’t, and how customers can obtain support.
1. Warranty Period
Unless otherwise stated on the product page or invoice:
-
3D Printers are covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase.
-
Consumable components such as nozzles, hotends, PEI plates, PTFE tubes, and fans are covered for 30 daysagainst manufacturing defects.
-
Accessories (AMS units, toolheads, cameras, etc.) follow the same terms as above unless otherwise specified.
2. What This Warranty Covers
During the applicable warranty period, Cubic Technology will repair or replace (at our discretion) any component that fails due to:
-
Manufacturing defects
-
Material defects
-
Electrical component failures
-
Firmware-related malfunctions (if not caused by unauthorised modification)
Replacements may be new or refurbished parts that meet or exceed original performance.
3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not apply to failures or damage caused by:
-
Incorrect installation, improper use, or operation outside the recommended parameters
-
Third-party modifications, firmware, or accessories
-
Use of non-genuine parts resulting in damage
-
Wear-and-tear consumables
-
Damage from accidents, power surges, natural disasters, or transportation after delivery
-
Commercial misuse such as continuous 24/7 operation where the machine is pushed beyond its design limits
Cubic Technology does not cover indirect or incidental loss — prints gone sideways, melted dragons, or spaghetti-monster attempts are part of the creative adventure.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure warranty support, customers must:
-
Provide proof of purchase
-
Provide accurate description, photos, or videos of the issue
-
Perform basic troubleshooting steps when requested
-
Avoid disassembly of internal components unless instructed by Cubic Technology
Issues caused by improper disassembly may void the warranty.
5. Warranty Claim Process
If you encounter an issue:
-
Contact Cubic Technology support at support@cubictech.com.au
-
Provide your order number, serial number, and evidence of the fault
-
Our team will guide you through diagnostic steps
-
If the issue is confirmed to be a manufacturing defect, we will arrange parts replacement, repair, or unit replacement
For items purchased from authorised Cubic Technology resellers, the warranty claim must be initiated through the reseller.
6. Return & Replacement Conditions
-
All warranty returns require prior approval (RMA)
-
Returned items must be securely packaged
-
If the product is deemed non-faulty or damaged due to misuse, the customer may be charged inspection and return shipping fees
-
Replacement units carry the remaining warranty of the original product or 30 days, whichever is longer
7. Out-of-Warranty Support
Cubic Technology offers paid repair services and replacement parts for printers outside the warranty period. We aim to keep printers alive and humming, not retired as dust-catching monuments.
8. Australian Consumer Law
These warranty terms operate in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees remedies for faulty goods that do not meet acceptable quality standards.
